To advance the Midwest and positively impact federal policy by promoting the shared strengths and diverse economies of the region.
The Council is a non-partisan alliance of businesses throughout the Midwest. Our objective is simple: effectively advocate for the interests of our members on Capitol Hill. Members represent a wide variety of industries, organizations, and sectors from twelve geographically distinct states. We recognize the importance of establishing relationships between congressional leaders, federal agencies and stakeholders.
“The Midwest Council connects our region to Washington and effectively advocates for our interests on Capitol Hill. They have the experience and relationships needed to inform policymakers and deliver results.”
- Secretary Tommy Thompson (R-Wisconsin)
The Midwest Council Co-Chair
“With the world moving faster than ever, we need a laser-like focus on supporting and growing our region. The Midwest Council is an effective, bipartisan organization that is constantly looking for ways to promote and advance our best interests.”
- Senator Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska)
